Free Integrated Stretch classes this week!

From the time I could walk, my mother put me in ballet and jazz dance classes and dancing quickly became one of my biggest passions in life. Through various dance disciplines and other forms of movement I have studied, including Yoga and Pilates, I have learned and created stretching techniques that are great for anyone at any age.

There are so many benefits to stretching, including injury prevention, reduced muscle tension, enhanced coordination, increased circulation, greater range of movement and heightened energy levels. Now, more than ever, I appreciate these benefits as I don’t dance nearly as much as I used to and I’m not getting any younger! My body is much quicker to tighten up and I can feel the difference in how stretching helps me with day to day activities as simple as bending down to pick something up!

I have learned keys to effective stretching are resistance, breathing and keeping a constant flow of energy. In doing so, you will achieve a much deeper stretch while allowing oxygen to move through your body; which in turn leaves less room for injury.

My Integrated Stretch class includes stretches for your entire body. It focuses on the key principles above and incorporates techniques from various movement forms. I encourage everyone to stretch at their own level, where you feel a good stretch but within a safe range of motion. It’s a great class for anyone with any fitness and flexibility level.

      Hi Patty!
      Yes, we currently offer stretch classes on Tuesdays at 1pm and Thursdays at 12pm! We also have a wide range of classes offered weekly to choose from. If you would like a mix of cardio burn and stretch we have a class on Fridays at 10:30am.
