Kadee, why is Zumba a good compliment to your pilates workouts?
Zumba is a good compliment to your pilates workouts because it gives you that extra cardio you need to help you burn more fat faster.
What are the cardiovascular and fat burning benefits?
As with any cardiovascular workout, the benefits of Zumba can include a 500-800 calorie burn, increased aerobic threshold, more stamina, increased bone density, improved balance and muscle tone, less body fat, and lower blood pressure. But unlike other cardiovascular workouts Zumba is fun, approachable, and feels like a party.
Can anyone do Zumba?
Anyone at almost any fitness level can start doing Zumba, without purchasing any equipment. Just bring your tennis shoes, water and your smiles.
If I have to do a low impact workout, is Zumba ok for me? Can I modify in it?
Absolutely, all classes should provide a high and low impact option. Just like pilates listen to your body and go at your own pace.
I’m not a great dancer, will I be able to keep up?
I always encourage people to get out of your heads enjoy the music and have fun. Just like anything else practice makes perfect. The more you do it the more it will get into your body.
